Post Graduate Assistant / Physical Director Grade - I / Computer Instructor
Grade – I in School Education and other Departments in the Tamil Nadu Higher
Secondary Educational Service – 2025
Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for appointment to the
post of Post Graduate Assistant / Physical Director Grade – I / Computer
Instructor, Grade – I in the Tamil Nadu Higher Secondary Educational Service
for the year 2025 to be filled up by Direct Recruitment through on-line mode
only up to 5.00 pm on 12.08.2025.

2. The Subject-wise Communal Turn Details of Backlog Vacancies are as follows: -
15. SCHEME OF EXAMINATION:
A. Compulsory Tamil Language Eligibility Test (Objective Type – OMR Based)
The Tamil Language Eligibility Test is a qualifying test only and it will be
conducted in objective type pattern consisting of 30 questions for 50 marks
and the duration of examination will be 30 minutes as Part–A. This mark will
not be considered for ranking. (i) The syllabus for the Tamil Compulsory
Paper is of 10th Std. level which is hosted and it can be downloaded from
the Teachers Recruitment Board’s Official website. (ii) Obtaining a minimum
of 40% of total marks in Part - A examination (minimum qualifying marks) is
only eligible for the next level of evaluation of the Part – B answer sheet.
(iii) The procedure will be followed as mentioned in the G.O.(Ms.) No.49,
Human Resources (M) Department, dated 23.05.2022 for exempting the
differently abled candidates from the Compulsory Tamil Language Eligibility
Test.
B: Main Subject (Objective type - OMR Based)
The Scheme of Examination for Post Graduate Assistant, Physical Director
Grade I and Computer Instructor Grade- I will be as follows:
a. For Post Graduate Assistant and Physical Director Grade-I
i.The written examination will consist of a single paper of 3 hours duration
with 150 MCQs (OMR – Type). Each question carries one mark. The marks
allotted to the Main Subject, Educational Methodology and General Knowledge
are as follows:
- Main Subject 110
- Educational Methodology 30
- General Knowledge 10
- Total 150
16. SCHEME OF SELECTION:
- A. Compulsory Tamil Language Eligibility Test
- B. Written Examination (Objective OMR Type)
- C. Certificate Verification
A. Compulsory Tamil Language Eligibility Test:
The Tamil Language Eligibility Test is a qualifying test only and will be
conducted as per the scheme of examination mentioned above. The candidate
has to score a minimum qualifying marks of 40% to go to the next level of
evaluating Part-B Answer Sheet.
B. Written Examination (Objective OMR Type):
i. The Date, Time and Centre for the OMR based Written Examination will be
mentioned in the Hall Ticket. The Hall Ticket for the eligible candidates
will be uploaded by the Teachers Recruitment Board in its website. The
candidates are advised to refer to the Teachers Recruitment Board’s
website for details (https://www.trb.tn.gov.in) and download the Hall Ticket
