TNEA 2021 | Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions 2021. conducted by Anna University every year. for admissions to engineering and technology courses in the state of Tamil Nadu. TNEA Registration is expected to stard after 12th redult. Through TNEA 2021 students will be eligible for admissions in undergraduate engineering courses like – B.E & B.Tech. TNEA 2021 - Exam Dates, Application Form, Selection Procedure, Cut-Off, and Merit List. Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) is conducted for admission into undergraduate engineering courses (B.E./ B.Tech.) offered by the government colleges, government-aided colleges, and self-financing colleges in the state. The TNEA 2021 admission process will be conducted by Anna University.

How to Apply TNEA 2021

What is TNEA?

Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) is conducted by Directorate of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu to offer admissions to candidates in various engineering colleges in the state of Tamil Nadu. 
 TNEA rank list is used to offer admissions to candidates in undergraduate programmes like Bachelors of Engineering (BE) and Bachelors of Technology (BTech) in colleges of Tamil Nadu.

TNEA Eligibility Criteria

Qualifying Marks

Candidates must have passed 12th Standard Board Examination from schools in Tamil Nadu or any other recognized board with a minimum 50% marks 
45% for OBC 

Qualifying Subjects

Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics are compulsory subjects.

Documents Required for TNEA 2021 Registration

Candidates should check the list of documents required for TNEA 2021 Registration:

  • School details where he/she has studied VIII, IX, X, XI and XII standards

Documents Required for TNEA 2021 Application Form

Candidates have to show their original documents during counselling. Documents required during the counselling process are as follows:

  • 10th mark sheet
  • 12th mark sheet and hall ticket
  • Transfer certificate
  • Permanent Community Certificates
  • 1st graduate certificate
  • Nativity certificate (if applicable)
  • Candidates from outside Tamil Nadu are required to show their Nativity Certificate only in the form of digitally signed E-Certificate or Electronic Form.
  • Sri Lankan Tamil refugee certificate
  • Documents for Army Personnel (for identity)

TNEA 2021 Counselling

TNEA 2021 Counselling will be held on after 12th results 2021. Students will be called for the counselling process based on the merit list prepared. The seats will be allotted to the candidates according to the rank and category. Students must download their counselling call letter to be eligible to participate in counselling. There will be five TNEA 2021 Counselling rounds and students will be required to choose their colleges and courses. A counselling fee will be required through cash or demand draft. Also, students have to submit photocopies of their original or required documents for verification.

  • SC / SCA / ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu Rs 1000

Filling choices

After payment of the TNEA counselling 2021 fee, candidates will have login to the TNEA portal using their user Id and password (Same that used at the time of registration). Upon successful login, candidates will have to choose their preferred choices of institutes and courses.

Locking of choices

The next step is locking of the selected choices. Candidates will have to finally lock the entered choices on the third day after the commencement of round. No modification will be allowed after locking. Once the choices are locked, a PDF document containing the list of choices locked by the candidates will be sent to their registered email with the generated integrity code. The integrity code is to prevent any further modification to the applicant’s choice list that has been submitted. If a candidate fails to lock his/her choices within the stipulated time, the system will automatically lock the choices.

Tentative allotment

 The system will allot the tentative seats to the candidates as per the choices filled by them. Candidates will be able to check the tentative TNEA seat allotment by logging into their accounts.

Submission of allotment offer
 After allotment of seats, the candidates will have an option to confirm, decline or reject the offer.

Final Allotment 
As per the options entered by the candidates, the authorities will finally allot seats. The result of TNEA seat allotment are made available on the official portal.

 Finally, candidates who will be allotted seats in the final allotment will have to report to the allotted institute for the payment of admission fee and confirmation of seat.

If a candidate is not allotted any seat during TNEA 2021 counselling, he/she can claim for refund of the initial deposit. The refund will be made according to the TNEA procedure.

TNEA 2021 Reservation for Sports Quota

The sports quota enhances the weightage of sports eminence of the candidates based on achievement in the sports at State, National or International level. Reservation for sports Quota has been increased from 100 to 500.

TNEA 2021 Participating Colleges

Anna University releases the list of TNEA 2021 Participating Institutes. There are more than 500+ colleges under Anna University. During the counselling process, candidates may choose among all the colleges which are offering the undergraduate program through TNEA 2021. Allotment of the participating institutes will be done based on various criteria like candidate’s merit, category, and preferences.
